CANDLES & MELTS
WHAT KIND OF WAX IS IN THE CANDLES & MELTS?
Our candles are made with 100% soy wax. Our Bag of Dicks wax melts are made with a soy wax and paraffin blend.
WHY DO YOUR CANDLES AND MELTS HAVE SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCE OILS?
Our candles and melts use phthalate-free fragrance oils that include both natural and synthetic ingredients, which are cruelty-free and lab-tested for consumer safety. You might think that Essential Oils would be a safer alternative, but in fact Essential Oils are potentially toxic when burned, so we steer clear of them.
WHAT IS THE PROPER BURNING METHOD FOR MY CANDLE?
To get the best experience with your candle, make sure to allow time for the first burn to last for 3–4 hours while attended. This is important! Soy wax has memory. When you burn a candle and then extinguish it, the next time you burn it, the wax will only melt as far as it did on that first burn. Crazy, right? So really, make sure that when you burn the candle the wax pool reaches the edge of the jar.
Before every burn, trim your wick to ¼ inch. Do not allow trimmed wick to fall into the wax, as this is a fire hazard.
Make sure to keep the candle away from children, pets and any drafts. Only use them on heat-proof surfaces. Don’t move the candle when the wax is liquid and don’t touch the candle while it is hot. Don’t be a dick — do not leave a burning candle unattended!
HOW LONG WILL THE CANDLES BURN FOR?
Our candles last for 40–50 hours when burned in increments of 3–4 hours. The better you take care of the candle with proper burning methods, the longer it will last.
WHAT DO I DO WITH THE MELTS?
Melts are a great way to get all the lovely fragrance of a candle without the fire hazard! Pop one or two into an approved electric or plug-in wax warmer. Check your fragrance warmer’s instructions for recommendations on usage. We generally burn our melts for 3–4 hours at a time. Each melt should have good fragrance for 8–12 hours. After the wax loses its scent, let the wax cool in the warmer. When it is completely cooled, you can pop the hardened wax out and discard. Our method to release the wax is to place the warmer bowl into the freezer for 15 minutes, which should allow the hardened wax to pop right out!
HOW FRAGRANT ARE THE CANDLES AND MELTS?
Our candles are meant to fill a small or medium-sized room with their luxurious aromas. Our soy wax candles have a less overpowering scent throw than other products on the market blended with paraffin, but they're still plenty fragrant. Our melts are made of a soy/paraffin blend to better maintain their shape, so they are a bit more fragrant.

HOW LONG BEFORE MY ORDER SHIPS?
Your order will be processed and shipped within 3–5 business days. We are a very small business and do our best to process orders quickly, but please understand that items may take longer to ship during busy seasons.
WILL I GET TRACKING INFORMATION?
Absolutely! When your shipping label is created you will receive an email with the tracking number.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DIDN'T RECEIVE MY PACKAGE?
First, check to make sure that the shipping address you entered is correct. Occasionally a shipment can be mistakenly marked as “delivered” by USPS when it is actually still in transit. In this instance your package may arrive 3–5 business days after the package was marked delivered. If you do not receive your package five business days after it is marked delivered, please email us at info@smallpackagesco.com and we'll get to the bottom of it!
If for any reason your package is returned to us due to an address error, you will be responsible for the cost to reship the package. The cost to reship a package is $7.99 and you will be sent an invoice via email. If you choose to receive a refund rather than have your order resent, you will be refunded for the cost of the candles only. We cannot refund shipping cost on returned packages.
If your shipping information on file is incorrect and your package is not returned to us for any reason, you will be responsible for paying the full cost of a replacement candle, plus an additional $7.99 to cover the cost of shipping, should you want a replacement sent. We cannot offer any refunds on orders with address errors which were not returned to us.
